What is Eternl Wallet?

Eternl is a light wallet for the Cardano blockchain, built by Tastenkunst GmbH. It is non-custodial: your private keys are generated and stored on your own device, and you are the only one who can move your funds. It runs as a browser extension and as an iOS and Android app, and it is free to download and use.

Capabilities

What you can do with Eternl Wallet

Every one of these runs from the same recovery phrase, and none of it needs a second app or a browser tab full of bookmarks.

account_balance_wallet

Multi-account from one seed

Run several Cardano accounts from a single recovery phrase - separate accounts for spending, staking and testing things out.

savings

Stake ADA to a pool

Delegate the ADA in any account to a stake pool and watch rewards accrue, without moving your coins out of the wallet.

diamond

Native tokens and NFTs

Send, receive and view Cardano native assets and NFTs next to your ADA, with the collection images in the same wallet.

extension

Cardano dApp connector

The browser extension connects to Cardano DeFi and NFT sites, so every transaction is requested, reviewed and signed inside Eternl.

usb

Hardware wallet support

Pair a Ledger or Trezor and keep your keys offline - Eternl is the interface, the device does the signing.

group

Multi-signature accounts

Set up shared accounts that need more than one signature before funds can move - useful for teams, DAOs and family holdings.

Self-custody

Your keys stay on your device, not with us

Eternl has no account and no server copy of your keys. You hold the recovery phrase, you set a spending password, and every transaction is signed on your own device. That is also the trade-off: nobody can lock your ADA, and nobody can recover it for you.

Staking and delegation

Stake your ADA without moving it

Pick a stake pool for an account inside Eternl and delegate from there. Your ADA stays in your wallet - delegation does not move or lock your coins, and you can change pool, redelegate or withdraw rewards whenever you want.

Getting started

Set up Eternl Wallet in three steps

You need a browser or a phone and a few minutes. Your wallet is generated on your own device, never on a server.

1

Install Eternl

Add the browser extension for Chrome, Edge, Brave or Opera, or download the iOS or Android app from eternl.io.

2

Create or restore a wallet

Start a new wallet, or restore one you already hold by entering its recovery phrase. Set a spending password to protect the wallet on this device.

3

Back up your recovery phrase

Write the phrase down and keep it offline. It - not a password reset - is what restores your accounts if a device is lost.

Compare the two

Eternl Wallet or an exchange account?

Both hold ADA. Only one of them holds your keys.

Questions

Eternl Wallet FAQ

The questions people ask most before they move their ADA into their own wallet.

What is Eternl Wallet?

Eternl is a non-custodial wallet for the Cardano blockchain. It runs as a browser extension and as an iOS and Android app, and it holds your ADA, native tokens and NFTs on your own device.

Is Eternl Wallet free to use?

Yes. Eternl is free to download and free to use, and it takes no cut of your ADA. The only costs are the Cardano network fees that any transaction on the chain carries, plus whatever fee the stake pool you choose charges.

Who holds my keys in Eternl Wallet?

You do. Your keys are generated on your device and stored there encrypted. Eternl has no account and no server copy of them, and no way to move your funds - which is also why nobody can recover them for you if the recovery phrase is lost.

Which browsers and devices does Eternl Wallet support?

The browser extension runs on Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera. The mobile app runs on iOS and Android and includes a built-in dApp browser.

Can I stake ADA with Eternl Wallet?

Yes. Choose a stake pool for each account and delegate from inside the wallet. Your ADA stays in your wallet and is neither locked nor transferred, and you can change pool or withdraw rewards at any time.

Does Eternl Wallet support NFTs and Cardano native tokens?

Yes. Cardano native tokens and NFTs sit alongside your ADA in the same wallet, and you can send, receive and view them there.

Can I use Eternl Wallet with a hardware wallet?

Yes. Eternl works with hardware wallets, so you can review each transaction on screen and sign it with keys that never leave the device.

How do I restore Eternl Wallet on a new device?

Install Eternl on the new device, choose to restore an existing wallet and enter your recovery phrase. Because the wallet is non-custodial, that phrase is the only thing that can restore your accounts.

Free. Non-custodial. Yours.
